Dance-a-Thon rules & guidelines
A handful of clear, friendly rules keeps a Dance-a-Thon fun and orderly. Adapt these for your age group, post them where everyone can see, and read the key ones aloud at kickoff.
No obligation — talk through your goal with a coach, or start your event now. Trusted by 10,000+ events since 2007.

Dress code & inclusion
Keep the dress code light and inclusive: comfortable clothes and closed-toe shoes for safe dancing, plus theme wear if you have a theme. Make clear that costumes are optional and that every student belongs on the floor regardless of what they wear or how they dance. The goal is for every single student to feel welcome — that inclusiveness is exactly what makes a Dance-a-Thon special.
Tie theme wear to your chosen theme.
